MotoGP Aerodynamic, The Essential Factor Indeed

With just a little margins between succeed and failure in MotoGP, the essential of every detail can make big differences to each bike and rider.

“The aerodynamics in every road racing bike is very important because when you go over 200 km/h it makes the difference,” explained Simoncelli, whose height resulted in some modifications to his San Carlo Honda Gresini bike this season.

“It’s not a big modification but each modification can give me more or less 3 or 4 km/h more in the straight,” added the Italian, who goes through the specific changes that were made in the attached video.


Cappirossi also added,

“When you have good aerodynamics it is much easier to reach top speed and to change direction. I did a lot of work in the Suzuki wind tunnel, in Japan, and we discovered many things,” said the 37 year-old, who also goes through the modifications that were made to his Rizla Suzuki GSV-R and the processes involved in the attached video.
