Leonov Recover, Ready for The Next Round at Jerez

The Vector Kiefer Racing rider undergo an operation last week once fracturing his right elbow in the Moto2 race in Qatar, and will be fit as well as prepared for the next round at Jerez.

It was a crucial debut in the Moto2 category for Leonov at the opening Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar, at that time the Russian rider agonized a fractured right elbow as he fallen out of the first-ever race in the new intermediate class.

As Leonov kept on work his way up from the rear of the field of riders, it was on lap eight that the Russian rider experience several troubles that led to the high side crash which ended his race early.

Leonov said:

“The front wheel started to move about, but I could control the bike’s movement,”. “However, the back wheel then jumped about and touched the artificial grass which led to the high side. I fell hard enough to injure my elbow,” .

The 22 year old agonized the fractured right elbow which required an operation and went under the knife last week, as well as Leonov’s rehabilitation is going well. He plans to converge his fan club in Moscow at the end of the week, before traveling to Spain to start preparing for the next race at Jerez which takes place on May 2nd.
