`I found out that I can´t play the drums!´ said Toseland –MotoGP´s resident musician- after joining in on percussion. `Shanghai is a really beautiful city, and it´s the first time that I´ve ever been here.´

The sextet took part in a musical performance on the boat, the beat of a Chinese drum echoing out onto the Huangpu river. There was also a chance for local fans to get autographs from the stars upon their reaching dry land.

Vermeulen shared his colleagues enthusiasm for the city, and also the relief that he wouldn´t be relying on his skills with the sticks to earn a living.

`I really like Shanghai, and I might come back here some time for a holiday.´
`It´s a good job that I can ride a bike, because I was pretty useless with the drums!´ joked the Australian, who may even return to China in a more relaxed setting.
